Arnold, Patricia R
from FG
Patricia R Arnold Patricia R. Arnold, 84, of Fort Collins, Colorado peacefully passed away in her home on November 10, 2016.
Patricia
was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 20, 1932 to parents Rueben Daniel
and Mary Elizabeth (Hendrickson) Sickbert. Patricia grew up north of
Wichita in Sedgwick, Kansas where she graduated high school. She married
the love of her life, Billy Brown Arnold on September 9, 1951. They
were married in Sedgwick but shortly after they moved to San Diego where
Bill was stationed in the Navy. After four years of living in San
Diego, Bill and Patricia moved to Utah where Bill would complete his
Master's degree and continue working for the Utah State Fish and Game.
His continued work as a fisheries biologist meant a lot of outdoor
research. Patricia was a homemaker and devoted mother to her three
children. Because of her husband's work, the family spent a lot of time
outdoors. They traveled and camped as Bill would work while his family
enjoyed Mother Nature. Bill took a job with the Bureau of Sport
Fisheries and Wildlife (now Fish and Wildlife Service) and moved the
family to Fort Collins. This work called for the family to live in Fort
Collins in the winter months and Yellowstone Park in the summer months.
They were members of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Collins. Bill
passed away in Yellowstone unexpectedly in July of 1967.
After
Bill's death, Patricia spent a lot of time traveling to destinations
including Mexico, Canada, many of the United States, and most
interestingly she rode on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle
touring Europe. She is greatly missed by her family whom rejoice in
their parent's reunion in the afterlife.
The family will have a private scattering ceremony.
