New Firm Opens Up
January 31, 1919
New Firm Opens Up. Ellison Martin, ex-clerk of the court, now that his office has expired has planned on going into business for himself in Newton. He and Lyle Norton have formed a partnership and will open for business as the M. & N. Vulcanizing & Supply Co. They are having the Maer building at 614 Main street fitted up with new machinery and will do tire retreading and repairing and will also keep auto supplies and accessories.
There is a good opening for this line of business in Newton and these young men are pushers and will get their share of business and do well. Their location on Main street across from the Ten Cent Store, is a good one. The Newton Journal, Newton, Kansas. Friday, January 31, 1919. Page 1. (c) Harvey County Genealogical Society.
