Survivors: wife, Marion; sons, J. David of Wichita, Gerald of Topeka; daughter, Bernice Hanson of Lindsborg; stepsons, Max Schroeder of Boulder, Colo., Jay Schroeder of Danville, Calif.; step- daughter, Janet Myers, of Augusta; five grandchildren.
