NEWTON?Leva L. Bickford, 87, died, Thursday, July 4, 2024, at NMC Health, Newton.
She was born July 22, 1936, at Harper, KS to Tillman M. and Dorothy M. (Hoffman) Rodgers.
She attended New Life Church and retired from Travelers Insurance as an underwriter supervisor.
She is survived by brothers: Gardy Rodgers, Los Angeles, and Dennis Rodgers, Newton; sisters Sue Stewart, and Karen Nikkel, both of Wichita; nephew Kerry Stewart, Wichita; stepson Steve
Bickford; stepdaughter Alice (Pete) Cervantes; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Halstead Cemetery. Chaplain John Hull will officiate.
Memorials may be given to Newton Public Library in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
