Carolyn M. Zimmerman
AUGUSTA?Carolyn M. Zimmerman, 82, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at Homestead of Augusta.
She was born November 19, 1941, at Lawrence, KS to Galen and Evelyn (McAninch) Fields.
She was a 1959 graduate of Scott Community High School. She also graduated from Ottawa University and North Central Kansas Area Technical School in 1989.
She was an LPN working where her husband?s pastoral assignments took them. She retired from Larned State Hospital.
On June 3, 1962, she married Richard Earl Zimmerman at Scott City. He survives in Augusta.
Other survivors include sons Galen (Kim) Zimmerman, Killeen, Texas, and Stephen Zimmerman, Topeka; daughter: Susan (Jon) McCoy, Towanda; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Fields, and sisters Patti Findlay and Barbara Brantner.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. The family will be present from 6:30-8 p.m. to greet friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, also at Kaufman Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Halstead Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Dementia Society of America in care of Kaufman Funeral Home.
