From Newton Evening Kansan Republican: Oct 15, 1914 George Brainard, who for a number of years lived near Hesston, died at Selden, KS. yesterday at the age of 83 years. He has been ill for several months. Mr. Brainard leaves seven children. The body was brought to Newton, KS this afternoon and funeral will be tomorrow at 10 o'clock from the Methodist Church. Interment will be in Newton Greenwood Cemetery.
