MaryLou R. Hageman, 84, of Burrton, died peacefully August 14, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born May 12, 1940, in Mount Hope, to Martin and Suzanne K. (Gehlen) Libel.
MaryLou graduated from Andale High School, in 1958. She drove a school bus and was a homemaker. MaryLou enjoyed collecting and wearing jewelry, especially rings. In addition, she was an avid Coca-Cola collector, and lovingly nurtured numerous farm kittens, along with her daughter, Marietta. MaryLou was a faithful member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson.
On June 7, 1958, she married Clarence Willliam Hageman, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ost, KS. He died June 25, 2021, after they shared 63 years of marriage.
MaryLou is survived by: her children, Molly Perser (Norman), Clinton Hageman (Monica), Mark Hageman (Phyllis), all of Hutchinson, Curtis Hageman (Suzanne) of Towanda, and Marietta Hageman of Burrton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; infant son, Clifford; siblings, Jeanette, Oscar, Almeda, and Lucille; two infant siblings; and great-granddaughters, Lillian and Peyton Keough.
Parish Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Avenue, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ost, KS. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends following the Parish Rosary at the church.
