David C Moore

David C. Moore, 87, died July 6, 2024, at his rural Sedgwick Home. He was born March 13, 1937, in Dover Pope, Arkansas, to David and Retna Ann (Jones) Moore. On Dec. 18, 1955, he married Joyce Hardiman in Wichita, and she survives of the home.

David was a retired construction equipment operator. He was a longtime active member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Newton.

David is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; son, David (Barbara) Moore; daughters, Nancy (Bob) Ulrich and Susan (David) McDonald; brother, Lynn Moore; and sister, Shirley Jeffers. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Gary Alan Moore.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, at Liberty Baptist Church in Newton, with Pastor Steve Julius presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, with the family receiving friends until 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
