Patrick "Pat" D Machmer
Patrick D. ?Pat? Machmer 76 died October 16, 2024 at his Wichita home. He was born November 5, 1947, in Bremerton, Washington to Claude and Rose Marie Olson. He was adopted by
Otis J. and Burdette (Resler) Machmer. On September 27, 1965, he married Bonnie R. Rothfuss at Morganville, Kansas and she survives of the home.
He was a graduate of Clay Center High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He earned many service awards during his time in the Navy. He spent his working career with IBM
where he worked his way up to manager.
Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards with his siblings. He also was an accomplished wood worker. He was known for his gentle kindness and playing jokes on family and friends.
His greatest joy was that of loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and, friend.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Trent (Tressa) Machmer; daughter Patria (Tria) (Rick) Cotton; brother Mark Olson; 3 sisters Claudia Olson; Sandy Recob and Debbie Matthews. He is also
survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, adopted parents, sister Pam Henry and Brother Kevin Olson.
Funeral service will Navy Honors will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton at a later date.
