Geneva Mae Chapple, 83, died Friday, November 1, 2024, at Paramount Community Living, Newton. She was born August 4, 1941, at Montezuma, KS, to Peter T. and Lena (Boehs) Koehn. She was a
member of Whitewater Community Church, Whitewater. She worked as a physical therapy aide and retired from USD 440, Halstead-Bentley where she worked in food service for 20 years. On November 3, 1963, she married James Melvin
Chapple at Whitewater, he preceded her in death November 21, 2020. She is survived by her daughters: Joanne (Dwight) Becker, Halstead; Joyce (Rod) Bevan, Wichita; son Wesley (Amy) Chapple, Newton; brother: Dean Koehn, Nebraska
City, NE; sisters: Shirley Deutschendorf, Columbia, SC; Jane (Delbert) Fast, Greely, CO; Clara Smith, Rose Hill, KS; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Virgil, Ervin,
Melvin, Waymon and Peter Koehn, Jr. and sisters: Sylvia and Gladys Koehn, Louise Smith and Dorothy and Rose Wedel and Linda Pena. Friends may view and sign the register from 2:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2024, with visitation
from 6:30-8:00 at Kaufman Funeral Home. Interment will be 9:30 am, Friday, November 8, 2024, at Halstead Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am, at Whitewater Community Church, Whitewater. Memorial gifts may
be given to Good Shepherd Hospice or Ponca Bible Camp in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
