Clarence Wayne Williams was born October 18, 1930, in Hebron, and died September 6, 1985, at the Halstead Hospital at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 19 days.
As a young child he moved with his parents to Belleville.
In June of 1951 he entered the armed forces, serving in Korea with the 5th Army 7th Division. After returning, he was employed as a truck driver for 30 years. At the time of his death he was
employed by Bud Palmer Auction, Wichita.
On January 19, 1954, he married Alma Marie Vielguth in York, Nebr., and to this union seven children were born.
He was baptized in the Christian Church of Chester in 1960.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No 132, Wichita, American Legion and VFW, was a master Mason of Trinity Lodge No 313, Wichita.
He was preceded in death by twin daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Alma; children: Connie, of Halstead; Marsha of Newton; James of Louisburg, Kan.; Patricia of Newton; Scott of Olathe; his parents, Mr. and Mes. C. A. Williams
of Belleville; three brothers, Dennis of Osawatomie, Kans., Robert of Belleville, Norman of Scott City, Kans.; three sisters, Donna Crist of Phillipsburg, Catherine Derowitsch of Belleville, Nancy Gritten of Belleville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 10, at the First United Methodist Church in Halstead. The Rev. Roger O. Shanks officiated. Masonic and American Legion graveside services were
held September 11 at the Belleville Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Dick Paige. Burial was in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville.
