Harold Botterweck
Harold Botterweck, 74, died Friday (Dec. 14, 2001) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 25, 1927, to Joseph and Augusta (Boehnke) Botterweck in Newton. They preceded him in death. He married Phyllis Sheffler March 2, 1948, in Newton. She preceded him in death June 19, 1998.
He worked in the maintenance department for Cargill Flour for 36 years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping, woodworking and traveling. He served in the National Guard for several years.
Survivors include: two sons, Dennis Botterweck and Terry Botterweck, both of Newton; a brother, Donald Botterweck of Newton; two sisters, Lucille Botterweck of Newton and Clara May Mulhall of Miami, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bernie Dickson officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of Memory.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
