Ramon K. Carlson, 88, died May 27, 2024, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born August 29, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Clifford A. and Delia A. (Lindholm) Carlson.
Ramon attended Alpha School in rural Windom and graduated from Inman High School. He was a wheat farmer, dairyman and cattleman until 1982. Ramon then moved to northwest Arkansas and was
a realtor with Harris McHaney Realtors in Bella Vista for 20 years. He loved creating things with stained glass and woodworking. Ramon was a member of Andover Lutheran Church, Windom.
On September 19, 1954, he married Mary Lou Wilson, in Little River. They shared 62 years of marriage before her death on October 15, 2016.
Ramon is survived by: his children, Dr. Verle Carlson and wife Sheryl of Lyons, Jill Darling of Pea Ridge, AR, Pam Nanney and husband Dr. Greg Nanney of Newton, DeAnn Gann and husband Nick
of Bella Vista, AR; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; and son-in-law, David Darling.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Andover Lutheran Church, 115 Dakota Rd., Windom. Inurnment for both Ramon and Mary Lou will follow in
the church cemetery.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the church.
