Elise J. Harder
Elise J. Harder, 95, of Newton died Monday (April 8, 1996) at Friendly Acres Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1901, in rural Whitewater to Henry Wiebe and Maria Janzen Wiebe, She married B. G. Harder. He died in February 1982.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Emmaus Mennonite Church in Whitewater.
Survivors include two sons, Willis of North Newton and Don of Whitewater; two daughters, Elna Duck of Buhler and Lois Nattier of Newton;
12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Friendly Acres Chapel. Burial will be in the Emmaus Church Cemetery in Whitewater.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Lamb-Nutter Mortuary in Whitewater. The family will greet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to MCC or Friendly Acres Nursing Home in care of the mortuary.
