Gelbert Neal Hague
Gelbert Neal Hague, 1100 Grandview Ave., 66, died Wednesday (July 16, 1997) at his home in Newton.
He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Walton to Loren and Iva Mable Turner Hague. He married Kay Babcock on Aug. 29, 1958, in Minot, N. D. She survives.
He was a sales representative at Hesston Corp. for 27 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Centre Lodge No. 147 of Marion, 32nd Degree, Valley of Wichita Scottish Rite, El Jebel Shrine of Denver and a member of the Methodist Church in Jamestown, N. D. He was a U.S. Navy veteran in the Korean Conflict. He was a 1948 graduate of Peabody High School and a 1961 graduate of Wichita State University.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jodi Neil Frank of Parker, Colo.; two sons, Kevin Loren Hague and Mark Dwight Hague, both of Parker, Colo.; two brothers, Eugene Hague of Walton and Willard Hague of Marion; three sisters, Cleona Brazel, Evelyn Kline and Loretta Lackey, all of Peabody; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers, Lyle Hague and Robert Hague; and two sisters, Jewell Mellott and Isla Jane Prather.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Community Church in Newton with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. tp 9 p.m. Friday at Petersen's Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with the Central Homecare and Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
