Donald D Davidson, 85, of Halstead passed away January 9, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center. He was born February 24, 1939, in Hartville, Missouri, the son of Fred and Anna (Fain) Davidson.
He graduated from West High School in Wichita in 1957.
He married Betty Maurine Hall on Sept. 7, 1958. She proceeded him in death September 11, 2011. He also was proceeded in death by his parents, his two siblings, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include son, Donald (Donie) Davidson Jr; daughters DawnEna Davidson and Kimberly Thompson Davidson; grandson Joseph McGinn his wife Alyssa, and their sons, Hays and Archer; and
granddaughter Tori Thompson Loffland, her husband Ryan, and their two daughters, Charlie and Elzie.
One of his most memorable jobs, just out of high school, was working at the new Vickers Station in Haysville.
He owned and operated Halstead Auto Supply in Halstead for 30 years. He sincerely treated his customers and their children like family.
He enjoyed traveling in his RV visiting national parks and spending winters in Ajo, Arizona. He made many acquaintances and friendships on his travels.
His family will host a Celebration of Life with family and friends visitation at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 22 at Crossroads Community Church 225 Main Street in Halstead.
The burial will be at 11 a.m. March 29 at Black Oak Cemetery in Marshfield, Missouri.
