Cheryl Bartcher

Grand Prairie - Cheryl "Rene" Bartcher was born in Hutchinson Kansas in November of 1948. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. A true "baby boomer" she saw and experienced a lot. Rene raised three children. Rene held many jobs during her career, including restaurants and managing Pretty Prairie's municipal water system but most of the time she spent in Human Resources, always battling for the folks and making sure they got all of the coverage she could negotiate. Although born and raised in Hutchinson, she lived in Pretty Prairie KS, S. Hutchinson KS, Newton KS and finally in the Dallas TX area. Rene was always up for travel and adventure and enjoyed fishing, making jewelry, loving her cats & dogs and chasing her grandchildren. During her last days, she had many visitors who came by to thank her for her kindness and friendship. Her best lesson was "there is a time and a place" which guided her kids through their own lives. She is survived by her older Brother Ronald Bartcher, Titusville FL, her son, Ronald Lackey, Eden UT, her daughter Kimberly Zielke, San Antonio TX and her youngest daughter Tisha Lackey of Grand Prairie TX. Her grand children, Austin Zielke, Madison Lackey, Morgan Lackey and great grandchild, Easton Zielke will miss her. Cheryl Rene Bartcher
