Glenn Dale Blandin, of Hiawatha, Kansas, passed away at Maple Heights Nursing Facility on February 10, 2025. He was 92 years old.
Glenn was born to Charles and Hazel Hare Blandin on January 16, 1933, in Burrton, Kansas. At the age of twelve Glenn was adopted by Abe and Genevieve Enns also of Burrton.
Glen joined the Air Force on August 5, 1950, at the age of seventeen. He was honorably discharged on November 9, 1953. Upon his discharge, Glenn finished high school and graduated from
Burrton High School in May of 1955.
Glenn married Merlyn Ann Romig of Mt. Hope, Kansas on December 6, 1955, in Seagraves, Texas.
Glenn held many jobs throughout his lifetime but being an over-the-road truck driver was his favorite. Glenn loved the open road and traveling the United States, visiting many states.
Glenn was preceded in death by his biological and adoptive parents, his ex-wife Merlyn, his brothers: Jack, Charles, Harold, Dean, Donald, Jerry, Richard; his sisters: Doris, Shirley,
Patsy, Charlene, and Phyllis.
Glenn is survived by his children: Glenn Dale Blandin, Georgetown, Texas, Jeff (Mabel) Blandin, Hutchinson, Kansas, Tammy (James) Adams, Hiawatha, Kansas, Terry (Brian) McMillian, Hillsboro,
Kansas, Jenny Jaquet, Hutchinson, Kansas, brother Gary of Texas, and a sister Kay of Nevada.
He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren with many nieces and nephews.
Glenn has been cremated, and a celebration of life service will be held at First Mennonite Church in Halstead, Kansas at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025. Graveside service will be held in
June at the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas
