Elisa Alvarez Ramirez, 83, passed away peacefully Monday 2/24/25, surrounded by family and her loving staff at Goddard Medical Lodges. Elisa was born in Rock, Kansas 1/20/2042. [1942] She
is preceded in death by her parents Lucille & Andres Alvarez. Sisters Ruth Alvarez, Mary Alvarez, Bea Blondell, and Fran Fehrenbach. Brothers Ralph Alvarez, Andy Alvarez, and Philip Castillo. She grew up in Blackwell,
OK & settled in Wellington, KS where she fell in love with the love of her life, Joe T. Ramirez. She had fond memories of spending time with her Gomez grandparents in Belle Plaine and she lost her dad at the age of 11.
She was blessed with her brothers Tony & (Sheryl) Castillo, Johnny & (Julie) Castillo, Jesse & (Pam) Castillo, Manuel Castillo, and Joe Alvarez. Whom she all bravely saved in a great flood that occurred in Wellington,
Kansas. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Joe T. Ramirez. Andrea, Will, and Aubrey Calderwood. Sara and Brent Wallace. Claudia Ramirez and her future "handsome" husband Johnny Walker. Elizabeth
& Jamey, Talia, Bentley, Sadie, Jake, Connley, and great-grandson Emil Blubaugh. She loved spending time in her early years chasing Joe and dancing with her best friend and cousin Mary Ann Luna. She moved to Wichita in
her 20's and witnessed the 1970's race riots and witness to the KC 135 tanker crashing in Wichita. She lived with several relatives and worked at Town and Country with billionaire Phil Ruffin as a co-worker, at the
Imperial Hotel where she met the Wichita lineman and she was not impressed by their behavior when she worked there. She worked several restaurant and manufacturing jobs and of course what's in her blood, numerous cleaning
jobs. She was active in her church in Newton, Wellington, and Goddard. As an adult, she loved hosting charity dinners and volunteering with many organizations. She raised three very proud and hardworking women in Newton, Kansas.
