Ronald Jay Werner , 81 died Friday April 4, 2025 at home in Wichita, Kansas.
He was Born July 15, 1943 in Lyons, Kansas. He was the son of Benjamin Werner And Julia Taylor . He was raised in Newton Kansas and Graduated from Newton High School in 1961.
Ronald attended Bethel College and Pittsburgh State university after high school, he joined the Navy for 4 years, before returning back to Newton and starting his career with The Santa Fe
Railroad (1968-2004). Ronald Married Sharon Nightengale July 27, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma. They were married 43 years. Sharon Werner passed away December 29, 2020.
He is survived by son Darrin and Dawnya Werner of Wichita, son Jeff and Joan Nightengale of Wichita, brother Maynard Werner of Denver, Colorado, sister Roselyn Timbie of Dothan, Alabama,
sister Miriam and Dick Winter of Emporia, Kansas, 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
The Family will receive friends at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home 120 E. Broadway in Newton on Friday April 11, 2025 from 5pm-7pm.
