HALSTEAD - Marian Rachel Lamar, 96, died Dec. 13, 2008. She was born Aug. 26, 1912, at Wellington, to Jesse and Anna Rowena (Masters) Ward. Both are deceased.
She was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, and was a former instructor for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include: a daughter, Donna (Jack) Bender, Halstead; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, stepfather William Edgar and a sister, Maurine Ward.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Cemetery, Garden Plain, with Pastor Paul Stephens officiating. Memorials may be sent to Caring Hands Humane Society, in care of Kaufman
