Marilyn Joyce Kaufman, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born on July 26, 1940, at Fort Morgan, Colorado, to Clarence E. and Fern Amy (Robinson) Cox.
She was a graduate of Derby High School and completed nursing training at St. Mary?s of the Plains College, Dodge City. She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph?s Hospital, Wichita
and Halstead Hospital.
She was a Halstead resident since 1961, except for retirement in Ocala, Florida, from 1998 to 2016, when she returned to Halstead.
On Aug. 27, 1961, she married Aaron F. Kaufman at Derby. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2001.
Survivors include her sons, Von (Marla) Kaufman and Peter Kaufman, all of Halstead, and Andre? (Grace) Kaufman, Overland Park; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, LeRoy and Clarence Cox, and sisters, Doris Faulkner and Cheryl Lewis.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Halstead Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Caring Hands Humane Society in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
