Ernie Goering, 75, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on December 27, 1949 in Goessel, Kansas to Ernest and Veralynn (Schrag) Goering.
He graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1968.
Ernie was united in marriage to Florene Wiebe on October 17, 1980 at Emmaus Mennonite Church in Whitewater. They shared 45 years of marriage.
He was a long-time and dedicated farmer. He was a member of Garden Community Church in rural Moundridge.
Ernie loved to farm, but above all, loved being a grandpa. He desired that each of his children and grandchildren come to a saving knowledge of the love and forgiveness of his savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Florene Goering of Galva; daughters, Jenny Goering of Galva, Cynthia (Caleb) Quick of North Newton, and Sherlynn (Anthony) Livengood of Galva; son, Matthew (Chelsea) Goering of Galva; and thirteen grandchildren. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Garden Community Church, rural Moundridge. Burial will follow in the Garden Church cemetery.
