Linda Sue Aylward, 79, died Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
She was born on October 2, 1946, in Wichita, KS to Ernest Lynn and Virginia Lee (Norton) Johnson.
Linda worked as a keypunch operator and retired as an inspector for Beech Aircraft.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Halstead, and volunteered at Neighbors, in Halstead, the Et Cetera Shop, Newton, and made quilts for Mennonite Central Committee and Safe
Homes.
On June 28, 1980, she married Philip Ray Aylward in Las Vegas, he survives at home in Halstead.
Other survivors include her sisters Beth (Dwight) Ramsey, Wichita and Valerie Stiles, Halstead and six nephews and nieces.
Cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will be held at Halstead Cemetery, Halstead, KS.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., January 16, 2026, at First Mennonite Church, Halstead with Pastor Steve Wilcox officiating
Memorials may be given to Mennonite Central Committee in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
